Tour Itinerary

Day 1. Cochin – Munnar (135 km)
The journey begins with your arrival at Cochin airport. Our agent will welcome you and transfer you to Munnar – a town in the Western Ghats mountain range in a chauffeur-driven car luxury car. Stay overnight in Munnar.

Day 2. Munnar
Post breakfast visits the splendid tea estates of Munnar established in the late 19th century.  The highest peak of Western Ghats Mountain range Anaimudi is also situated here. You will also visit Eravikulam National Park where you will find Nilgiri Tahr- the mountain goat and the Mattupatty Dam. Overnight in Munnar.

Day 3. Munnar – Periyar (120 km)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Thekkady, where one of the largest wildlife reserves in India lies.
You will arrive at Thekkady in the afternoon, check in at the hotel and explore the nearby areas.
Overnight at the hotel.

Day 4. Periyar
Post breakfast visits the spice plantations at the Cardamom Hills. Later, explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary in a boat where you will see rare lion-tailed macaques, freshwater Tortoise, Elephants, Wild Dogs, Otters, Kingfisher, Hornbill and many others species of animals and birds. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 5. Periyar – Kumarakom (121 km)
After breakfast, you will be driven to Kumarakom, a town situated on Vembanad Lake in the backwaters of Kerala. The place is known for its Bird Sanctuary with a variety of bird species like Snake Bird, Night Heron, Little Cormorant, Golden-backed Woodpecker, Cuckoo, Siberian stork, etc. The Pathiramanal Beach and Bay Island Driftwood Museum are the other places that you will visit. Overnight in Kumarakom.

Day 6. Kumarakom – Houseboat
Have breakfast at the hotel and board the houseboat from Kumarakom jetty. Enjoy the cruise ride and witness the scenic beauty, paddy fields, fishermen, palm trees and the village life from close on the way. You will be served your meals on the houseboat itself which would be a unique experience. Overnight in a houseboat.

Day 7. Houseboat – Alleppey – Cochin (70 km)
Have breakfast at the houseboat and dismount at Alleppey also known as Venice of East. Admire the pictorial rustic backwaters and tranquil canals and lagoons. Explore the 19th-century Alappuzha lighthouse and beach, Mullkkal Temple, Krishnapuram Palace, and other such attractive places. Later you will depart for Cochin. Overnight in Cochin.

Day  8. Cochin – Departure
After breakfast, you proceed to explore Cochin visiting St. Francis Church, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch Palace, etc. Later, you will be dropped at the airport for your onward destination flight. Tour ends here.
